What is your guarantee and return policy?
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with our products, you may return them within 21 days of purchase to PhotoFileDirect.com for a full refund. Unless the return is due to an error made by PhotoFileDirect.com, we cannot refund shipping charges. Simple instructions on how to return merchandise are included with each order.
The foregoing does not apply to custom orders, such as custom 11x14 and 16x20 enlargements. See What special terms and conditions apply to special orders? for more details.
How long will it take to receive my order? How will it be shipped?
Orders for stock items received before 9:00 AM on any business day are almost always shipped the same day, 99% are shipped within two business days. Orders are shipped via First Class or Priority Mail unless Express Mail service is requested. First Class is used for packages weighing less then one pound. Priority Mail is used for packages weighing more than one pound. Domestic First Class and Priority Mail generally take two to four days for delivery, though up to ten days is not uncommon. Domestic Express Mail delivery is generally overnight. Express Mail to Canada generally takes two or three days. Domestic Express Mail delivery to a few less populated areas may take two days. If you are concerned about this ask your local Post Office time what the expected delivery time is for an Express Mail package sent from Yonkers, NY 10701 to your location. Note: Express Mail packages require that someone be available to sign for the package when it arrives, for this reason in some cases you may find it more convenient to have your photos sent to your place of work rather then your home.

What special terms and conditions apply to orders which contain custom items?
There are a few items we sell, such as 11x14 and 16x20 enlargements, which are made to your order. Because these custom items cannot be restocked, we require nonrefundable payment in advance for orders which contain custom items. We will accept custom items for return only in case of manufacturing defect or shipping damage, and then only in exchange for the identical item.
Since custom items are made to order they have a longer delivery time then our stock items. You should allow up to two weeks between placing an order containing custom items and the order's shipment. Time in transit from our facility to you will generally add from one to seven days. See "How long will it take to receive my order?" for further information on shipping methods and expected time in transit. To save shipping expenses orders that contain stock and custom items are held until the custom items are ready. If you are ordering stock and custom items and desire your stock items as soon as possible we suggest you place two orders, one for the stock items and one for the custom items.
Is it safe to give you personal information? What is your privacy policy?
Our privacy policy is basically very simple. We do not give out any of your personal information to anyone, except to the extent needed to fill your order. For example, we do not sell, or give away for that matter, your address. Of course, we do give your street address to the post office so they can deliver your purchase. If you select the secure checkout option then the sensative information you supply during checkout, credit card number and so on, is encrypted using an SSL Certificate supplied by VeriSign. Clicking on the icon below will help confirm we are who we say we are.

Are these licensed products? Why should I care?
Every photograph PhotoFileDirect.com sells is fully licensed and approved by the appropriate league and players association and/or by the players themselves. You can be sure that all of our photos meet or exceed the strictest quality standards set forth by those licensing bodies. You will undoubtedly see unlicensed photos for sale on the web and elsewhere. Besides being illegal unlicensed and counterfeit these product are generally of inferior quality. How can you tell if a photo is licensed? If the seller does not say it is licensed, it probably isn't. And please go to FAQ on hologram stickers for further details.
Why are hologram stickers on the front or back of many of your photos but not all?
Each licensing body has different requirements but you will find holograms on the front or back of nearly all our photos. Even photos without holograms do have the licensor logos, along with the Photo File logo, on one of the lower corners.
What if I don't see the player or shot I want? Can I order it anyway?
Unfortunately the answer is no. On a retail basis you can buy only those photos shown on this our retail web site, www.photofiledirect.com. Photo File has selected its 5,000 or so of our most popular photos to sell on www.photofiledirect.com. We make a commitment to put the actual images of all these photos on the web site and to keep them in stock at all times. Because selling over the web in this fashion is reasonably efficient we can keep the price we charge, even for very small orders, at a reasonable level.
There are many other players and photos that Photo File makes available on a wholesale basis. Perhaps you have seen one of these photos in person or on our wholesale web site, www.photofile.com. Unfortunately, it is not economically feasible for us to sell all of these photos on a retail basis. We can offer this larger selection to our wholesale customers because they must meet substantial minimum order requirements and because we do business with them on an ongoing basis.
Even if PhotoFileDirect does not carry the photo you want you may still be able to get it. Other Photo File dealers may chose to purchase a different assortment of photos then PhotoFileDirect. So, if you have not already tried your local sports memorabilia source for the photo you want, you may want to do so now.
Finally, even though we don't sell it now, perhaps the photo you are looking for is one we should be selling. We would appreciate hearing from you. Please e-mail our photo editor at photoeditor@photofiledirect.com with your suggestions about the players and poses we should be carrying. We change our images frequently and are constantly adding new players and we will take your suggestions into account when we do so. Who supplies your photos? Who is Photo File?
Photo File, Inc., far and away the largest and most highly regarded producer of sports photography, produces all our photos. All of Photo File's products are fully licensed.
Why are some 8x10 photos $5.95 and some $7.95?
Most 8x10 photos are $5.95. Hand-numbered, limited edition photos are $7.95.
Can you make me one of these photos in a larger size, say 11x14 or 16x20?
Yes. All the photos shown on our web site are also available as 11x14 or 16x20 enlargements. Unlike our 8x10 photos which are kept in stock these enlargements are custom made to your order. Since these enlargements are custom made special terms and conditions apply.
My Photo File photo came in a plastic sheet protector made to hold 8x10 photos. I would like to get some more for the rest of my photo collection. Can I buy them from you?
